Sunday AM Faith Formation
Sometimes, like in the summer months, we meet with all ages together. And then our role, as youth, is to be Faith Friends to the younger children and offer leadership. Whether altogether or by ourselves, we have fun together.
We spend time discussing our faith.
We spend time playing games that connect us with our faith. We spend time praying and in worship. We spend time together as companions who are on a spiritual journey. |
Each Sunday Morning, Youth in 6th through 12th grades start out in worship with the rest of the congregation before being dismissed to our own Faith Formation Program. We meet behind the Green Door at the end of the Faith Formation Hallway.
We start out each week with a sort of check in. We ask everyone to share the Highlights and Lowlights of the week. It may be where we encountered God that week. Or where we felt God's absence. It may just be a happy time of the week, or a sad time. Something we feel proud about, or something we have regret about. It's a way for us to share "snapshots" of our lives and lets us know how we can pray for each other.

NEW THIS YEAR--From time to time we will have fun watching a video, listening to a song, or view a movie/TV clip to start a discussion on a topic of faith. Like this one on GIFTS
"Each person is given something to do that shows who God is:
Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits.
All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!
The variety is wonderful."--I Corinthians 12:6-7, The Message

Do you have a silly talent?
Have you ever tried to figure out what your spiritual gifts might be?
